Waimea Valley Audobon Center

I know it's surprising...but we went to the Waimea Valley Audobon Center today and had a great time walking the 3/4 of mile up to Waimea Falls. I loved this monkey pod tree -- the leaves spread out like a canopy easily several hundred feet wide. If you look closely, there's a peacock sitting in the branches in the top center of the photo.

All these tree look amazing. I would love to walk or sit beneath them. Something to look forward to, I suppose.

I'm sure you'll have opportunity to visit Hawaii sometime in the future. This is our first trip, and it's really been incredible.
