I had no idea what a pineapple plant would look like. Here it is. Somehow the plant balances it like a flower. They say that you have to wear body armor to pick the pineapples as the 'leaves' are razor sharp. When they harvest the pineapple, they have to twist the top off and then replant the top. Once planted, it'll turn into another pineapple plant and in 20 months, it'll produce another pineapple. Dole is estimated to have 350 million plants. That's nuts. I wonder what possessed him to decide to start pineapple plantations? His wife probably thought he was crazy.
