With two rescheduled holidays just waiting to be used, Kevin and I drove to find the wildflowers. We ended up getting to the trail where all the poppies were supposed to be in gorgeous bloom -- just a little bit late. Poppies open and close in the sunlight. But we enjoyed the hike along the river and the wildflowers that we did find.
But I think for Kevin, his favorite part of the trail was this sign.
It's hilarious -- all broken and falling apart, yet claiming that this spot is where you'll find "...the finest handicrafts in the world." Wow! Kevin got quite a kick out of it. Actually, this is the spot where a man found $3M in gold about 150 years ago. We spent the night in Yosemite and had a fabulous time. It's so beautiful.
